You can ask the International Office of your university for advice on whether an application for XENOS funding has a chance of success. You can find the contact details here.
A complete application consists of the following documents:
- completed application form including certificate and signature (3rd page)
- current transcript of records
- bank statements of the last 3 months
- if relevant, further certificates, e.g. medical records (“Krankschreibung”), invoices, etc.
Combine all documents in a PDF file and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition, submit the printed/written version to the International Office of your university. They will check whether your application meets the eligibility criteria of XENOS. You will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application and (if eligible) that it will be forwarded to the funding committee.
The members of the funding committee would like to get to know you in person. Therefore, you will be invited to explain your personal and financial situation. This usually takes place a few weeks after you have submitted your application.
Whether or not you will receive funding will be decided directly after the interview and you will be informed by e-mail the next day. The money will then be transferred within the following days.
